Summary
Avery’s laugh is the first thing Morpheus hears on a Monday morning in early September. Just as he wakes, the hyperactive culprit jumps up on the bed and onto his chest, winding him in the process. Turning his head to the side, he notices Hob has already left the bed; likely, he is in the kitchen making breakfast. His heart flutters a little as he realises he was probably left to sleep longer, as he had been in a fair amount of pain last night and had not slept easily.
Set two years on from 'what was before is left behind', Morpheus is still adjusting to human life, Hob Gadling is being stubborn and refuses to give in, Avery is still being a ray of sunshine- but something is still not quite right.

It is not a question, but a delicious challenge that Dream throws at him and expects him to respond.
"My dearest starlight, you will wish that my pillowy soft words were the treat you were given, as I am to ravish you even as you lie begging for me to gentle myself."

Or Dream and Hob love each other so much that it makes a kid and there's so much family drama and a spiral of emotions that I forgot what I was writing about for a moment before it wraps up in family forgiveness and new beginnings. There is also maybe a MAJOR FACTOR CHANGE, which changes the trajectory of Dream's fate.
