Summary
Aziraphale had never understood why an angel would choose to Fall. Surely it was bad enough to be caught falling in love with a human, and punished by having your angelic nature and memories stripped away?
Yet some chose it. Aziraphale had witnessed the Fall of the Archangel Gabriel, surely the last denizen of Heaven anyone would expect to give up his immortal life to be with a human.
And now Aziraphale was ready to choose it, too.
