Admittedly, Jack had a little soft spot for Rhys. For two main reasons – he was hot and kinda fun. It wasn’t nearly enough to make him want to keep Rhys around forever, though. So, when he burst through Rhys’ front door one day only to find most of his apartment wrecked, floor covered in toys and walls in drawings, he decided that he can risk losing this PA and have some fun.

Max doesn’t cry very often, but this is enough to make her eyes fill with tears. She can’t respond, so she just shakes her head instead. Will buries his head in his hands, and she remains there, lost in thought. How is she even supposed to handle this information? Is he a suicide risk, or was he simply saying that being told to kill himself made him briefly think about it? Should she tell Joyce?
“Don’t listen to assholes.” She eventually comes up with. It’s really just a brief summary of what actually needs to be said, but she can’t be articulate when she’s been hit with this situation.
Or: Max witnesses a bullying incident with Will, and suggests they skip the rest of the school day. They go to the junkyard and talk about Mike, college, and eventually the events of the day.

Summary
“What did we do for Will’s birthday last year? I can’t remember.” Dustin queries, casually, causing Will to practically fold in on himself, as if trying to hide, or fade away completely. The sinking feeling turns into a pit of dread, as Mike racks his head for something, anything they did the prior March, a little less than a year ago.
“Oh my god…” He finds himself muttering, unintentionally, as he’s hit with the remembrance of his actions last year. The rest of the parties eyes snap towards him, their carefree faces beginning to morph into concern. “We didn’t do anything, did we?” He already knows the answer. He’s already recovered the memories that he had deliberately buried, to keep the guilt from eating him alive. He already knows how much of an asshole he is.
