The car slowly comes to a stop, the hoodlums sitting inside the vehicle silent, keeping their eyes peeled on the two firefighters they’ve been tailing for the past ten minutes. The pair in question just go about their usual day, having no idea they are being watched.
“So. What you wanna do?” One of the Insane Kings asks the leader.
Doc is staring with cold eyes as he watches Cruz and Otis buying churros for one another from a food truck.
“If we can’t track down Leon…then we’ll just have to take the next best thing.” He has his eyes locked on Otis, speaking ominously. “Everyone knows Cruz can’t go anywhere without his 'little buddy' by his side…”
Cruz and Otis hand each other their churros, starting to eat them as they walk away, seeming to be laughing about something as Cruz wraps his arm around him with a wide grin.
“What are we waiting for? Let’s get him.” One of the others urges impatiently.
“No.” Doc says instantly. “Too many witnesses here. We jump him where it will hurt Cruz the most…
we can make it a real show for everybody.”
