Both Jeongguk and Taehyung picked up an end of the string, tying it to their finger. They turned to each other, saying at the same time, “Ok, I tied the string-”
They looked down at each other’s fingers, laughing. “I guess we’re tied together now,” Jeongguk laughed softly, tugging Taehyung closer to him with the string.
Taehyung laughed, stumbling closer to him. “Yeah, now you’re stuck with me forever.”
Jeongguk looked down at his shoes, smiling. “That doesn’t sound so bad,” he whispered.
One single thread of gold had tied them together.
