Rey looked up, the anger swelling in her chest, and was startled to see his face less than a foot from hers, his chin resting on the arms he had draped over the back of his desk chair. She could feel the heat creep into her face —from totally justified anger, she told herself— as she bit back, “Oh my god, are you always such a jerk?”
“Usually,” he said with amusement in his voice, “But sometimes I can be a real asshole, too.”
