Summary
Years on, they are still married, albeit perhaps not as happily as expected. Trudging on through what she hopes is just a phase of marital problems, Heather finds a routine ancient magic dispatch to be not so routine after all. To her horror, she's ripped away from her time and the Aesop she knows to a time much earlier where everything seems out of place - Aesop definitely doesn't want to become an Auror and is crass and insolent, Phineas Nigellus Black has a crush on her and Dinah Hecat is still young and unlined. Heather wants nothing more to desperately get back to the life she knows, but she finds herself thwarted at every attempt. All she can think about is how much she wished the last conversation they'd had before she left wasn't an argument.
