“I assumed this story would follow the usual route of your rendezvous. You bed her, and you move on. I didn’t realise it would be this macabre,” Gilmartin grimaces as he takes a swift drink of his beer, which only causes him to grimace more.
“Well, it’s not macabre. She enjoyed it,” Astarion replies, not altogether happy with how Gilmartin is ruining his tale.
“I’m sure she did while she was alive, but her death probably spoiled that somewhat.”
Astarion blinks. “What? She’s not dead.”
Now Gilmartin looks truly horrified. “You left her alive?”
or: Astarion becomes uncontrollably thirsty in more ways than one, resulting in tragedy, comedy and a whole lot of blood.
