“You lied.”
Yeonjun smiled bitterly. “So did you, Soobin.” His eyes were tired, void of any light.
Soobin crawled into Yeonjun’s bed and they laid together in silence, staring at the bright white lights on the ceiling that seemed to never chip. Taehyun had left another bouquet of roses in the vase next to them, the dark red stark compared to the plain minimalistic decor of the room. The room looked lonely, but it seemed so full of emotions for the both of them.
“What do you want to do when we go home?” Soobin was still set on the idea that they would leave the place. He missed his cosy apartment, even though it was no longer full of life.
Yeonjun shook his head, exhausted. “We’re not going anywhere. This is our home now.” He climbed out despite the movement being painful and weak. “We have to be happy with it.”
Soobin looked at him like he was a stranger. The Yeonjun he knew would never be optimistic. In a way, it startled him, but he still put on a bright face. “Okay. We’ll stay here, for now.” Yeonjun gave him a tired smile.
