Summary
The sun dipped lower, the barest of orange-red light on the horizon to mark the sun’s descent. “Any moment now,” Leo grinned. He was bouncing in his seat, always being one of the most excited for the fireworks show every year.
Mikey climbed out of Raph’s lap and stood in front of the large turtle. He looked up in the sky in preparation, the chant of fireworks being repeated quietly.
There was the sound of something shooting up in the air, a trail of smoke showing where the item had been before it exploded high in the air. The sky lit up in an array of blue and green as the first firework went off. The sound hit them two seconds later, like a bang.
