Summary
Even if Takemichi had drifted away “originally”, that didn’t necessarily change who he was. He may have been more withdrawn than the Takemichi that Takuya was acquainted with, but their fourteen years together (and nearly a decade of that being raised side-by-side) weren’t so easily overwritten by the following twelve. Takemichi was Takemichi, as was Takemitchy and Toman’s first division captain, as was their Crababy Hero, as was Hanagaki-kun.
