…Wait. They're templars. Anders glances back to Fenris, bewildered. Fenris' eyes track them as they order their drink and make their way to a table to muscle their way into. Anders feels slightly touched. A teasing grin forms on his face. "Aw, you care about little old me?"
Fenris scowls. "No." He doesn't elaborate, but he also doesn't let his gaze leave the templars at the table by the door.
__With no other company to be found at The Hanged Man, Anders and Fenris make due.

He's used to putting up with the constant background ache, compensating for old damage with healing spells and tightly wrapped bandages. Most of the time people don't notice anything is wrong. But some days are worse than others, and when he can't keep the mask up any more, Fenris takes notice.
