Avian and Elytran mating season is the next month and they take it as a chance to make Wilbur they'res, with permission of course.

He was a horrible person, an unprincipled man who ran an equally immoral casino. Cheating men and women out of their money daily along with less than legal activities was his usual.
That was before he got apprehended, arrested, put-on trial and sentenced to death for treason, though.
He was hanged. And that should have been the end of it.
So why, or more like how, did he wake up in his twenty year old body with a ten year old version of the son who hates him, who was Ranboo, why does he always feel watched and where the actual hell was his other son?

He’d've laid it all out then, if he'd had the chance; run them through the same broken-record litany of letdowns and off-kilter compromise. He doesn’t fucking care if it’s pathetic anymore, doesn’t care if it’s pointless, he just wants to spit Schlatt’s too-go-to-be-true declarations right back in his face. He wants to call out broken vows one by one, brittle and furious, sharp enough to cut.

Magpies are meant to be the world’s most intelligent creatures, recognising themselves in mirrors, most notably. They were lucky bastards, Wilbur thought, getting to see anything other than a glass-stained portrait of someone they weren’t, gilded and gliding like wings in the wind.
Sometimes, though – just sometimes – when the mirror was just a window or the shiny metal railing of a casino, and he couldn’t really see himself past all the warping that the surface had given, he looked most like him. He looked distorted in the reflection, his hair more untamed in a way unbecoming of a hero, his wings somehow more vibrant, and the scar over his eye more jagged, should he be brave enough to wander with his mask discarded. He could see himself more clearly when everything wasn’t so certain.
Well. Magpies can also imitate human speech, grieve, and play games, and Wilbur was three-for-three just these past months. So maybe he was more like his namesake than he seemed.

Quackity is exhausted. Running Las Nevadas is all he has left, and he’s buried himself in paperwork, vodka, and sleepless nights just to keep it from falling apart. He tells himself it doesn’t matter—he doesn’t matter. He’s convinced he’s a terrible person, just like the man who once tore him down.
Wilbur shouldn’t care. He’s banned from Las Nevadas, and Quackity makes it clear he’s not welcome. But that doesn’t stop him from showing up, week after week, pushing Quackity’s buttons and watching him crack.

Coffee was always his first warning that Wilbur had entered his apartment, since the Nephilim always made a beeline for the pot before anything else, including saying hi to his boyfriend.
He supposed he couldn't complain, though, since he'd bought the coffee machine specifically for Wilbur, to supplement the obscene amount of the stuff he drank on a daily basis. When Quackity had lived alone, he used to simply summon (steal) cups from the cafe down the street, but Wilbur had insisted that he couldn't let the Law be broken right under his nose, and so they were in need of something to fill that gap.
He did wish that he'd get morning cuddles first, though. If he wanted to cling to his wonderfully tall boyfriend *now*, he'd have to get all the way out of bed, wander down to the kitchen, and by the time he was there and caffeinated, he would've lost the morning sleepiness that let him sleep in til noon.
