Tommy takes a deep breath before knocking on the door Sam Nook took him to. "Come in," says a voice that is both familiar and unfamiliar. Like Tommy had heard the voice before but can't place it.
Quickly, Tommy makes sure his mask is still on right and that his hair is covering his bruised jaw. Then he opens the door.
What Tommy expects to see when he owns the door is a Hero Headquarters employees in an ordinary suit or formal outfit with a clipboard and pen at the ready. What he doesn't expect is the hero Hades in his black and green hero robes at a table reading Tommy's resume.- Or -

"I will, I shall never fail." shriek flashed a quick smile. his eyes gazing over the crowd, casting his eyes at tommy. "me and you, rockstar. us against the world, forever—" "until the end." tommy finished the sentence. a quick nod sent towards dream. "well, I must finish my speech, go ahead and play toms." dream whispered, turning to the crowd.
dream and tommy against the world, that's how it always was. ever since tommy was a baby, dream found him even if he was a kid himself. him and dream against the world. nothing could change that. ever.

On the rare occasions when Dream remembered that Punz wasn’t just a decoration, he just attempted to fish for information on him. Dream was very passionate about learning everyone’s attachments as he knew that, eventually, everyone would turn against him and he would need them to exact his revenge.
Well, Punz had always been careful not to reveal anything. He kept everything dear to him close to his heart.
After all, while his attachments not have seemed like much, they were everything Dream always hoped for. He had Tommy’s trust and affection. He had been hailed as a hero ever since he turned against Dream and led everyone to the Attachments' Vault. And he was the favorite of the god who wrote the Revival Book, something Dream had tried to obtain ever since he discovered that the book alone would not give him the immortality he craved.
He never told Dream any of that, but it wasn’t a secret to others. Especially for the two Eggheads Sam allowed as guards in the prison.

As he turned the corner Dream came into view. Alongside him stood a man who wore thick leather gloves, an old-fashioned gas mask, gold-rimmed goggles, and one of those jumpsuits full of pockets that electricians and plumbers used. The whole look was pulled together by his long green hair that he kept tied together in a messy bun.
He was cool, Tommy decided. Very cool.
For some reason, he read as someone who would give very nice head pats and like big fluffy dogs.
Tommy was so focused on the new face that he barely registered when Dream wrapped an arm around him and pulled him closer. Either that or he was just getting used to the possessiveness. “I thought I’d have you gather the things my hatchling needs” Dream explained. His hold tightened around Tommy’s shoulders for a moment, before he gave him a little push forward, so the green-haired man could see him better.
The new guy let out a confused noise, so Dream hurried to explain: “I made him my apprentice a few days ago”.

Maybe Wilbur did have his interests in mind but he truly couldn't care less, he was sick of people treating him like he couldn't defend himself. He saw the stories, the tales of people making him seem defenceless, he does nothing but fight. He is no hero either, he was taught that lesson, but he'll never stop hunting the man who stole his innocence down until the day he rots.
