Summary
You, the reader, are constantly on the run. Many parties, among them the Empire, seek to get their hands on you for reasons you yourself are uncertain about.
When finally you are captured by pirates, Imperial forces aren't far behind, and you believe to find your end amidst the ensuing battle.
However, the situation isn't as hopeless as it first seemed.This can be read as a prequel to my fic "to love from afar", but works independently as well!
