The Xuan in "Xuan Ze" is also a wordplay on He Xuan and Shi Qingxuan's common last name as they sound similar.By now, he understood. They were seeking revenge for the Reverend of Empty Words, the one who haunted Shi Qingxuan through heaven and earth. Now they wanted to use him to lure out the Ghost King. If the Ghost King was always lurking nearby, he should be close. They wanted Shi Qingxuan to freak out, give in to fear, and maybe—just maybe—the Ghost King would appear.
But these creatures hadn’t done enough research. The Ghost King they were after was—or used to be—his best friend.

“Did Lord Wind Master just push Lord Earth Master away?” One of a few deputy generals, who happened to also pass by moments later as well, froze and gasped. That made the others stop and look at them as well, surprise etched on most of their faces.
Shi Qingxuan was dying. That must have been it. Pushing Ming Yi away? Unheard of. And why did Ming Yi look so wounded at him? They could swear he was pouting. Ming Yi, of all people.
“Am I dreaming…” Muttered another deputy general, ushering one of the others to pinch him. He yelped when someone did. “We’re all going to die. Haha.”
“Don’t say that! What if it really happens now!” Groaned someone in fear.
