After a freak accident during one of the raids, several soldiers—Ravage included—were injured. Soundwave, decided they needed to gather medical supplies from Iacon. "Ridiculous " was what to came to mind of the absurdity of the plan,but with no better options and an injured team, they were stuck with the only plan that made sense: infiltrate Iacon city, incognito.
Starscream just wanted to get it over with. The sight of his old city? A wave of nostalgia, sure. But the kind of nostalgia that hurts—, bringing up memories & thoughts he'd long since wanted to bury, & ghosts he'd rather never see again.
Or Alternatively, Soundwave, concocts a plan that takes every possible risk into account... and then some. Shockwave,being a supportive partner tags along to make sure everything goes smoothly. Cue Skywarp, the world's biggest enabler, to ease his own guilty conscience for causing the mess in the first place. Meanwhile, Starscream,is having the worst day of the cycle trying to ensure they don’t get caught by Sentinel’s guards.
