Summary
When they see each other again, Giulio gives his reports over and brushes him off. He never meets his eyes. An odd, heavy feeling weighed in Ray’s chest, akin to feeling like he wasn’t doing enough. Or rather, that night of vulnerability didn't mean anything at all to them.
“Ray?”
His head snapped from his folder, hand falling from the doorknob as he was going to open it. “Yes, Your Eminence?”
Giulio still wasn't looking up. He pulled a tiny notebook from his robes, cracking it open in the middle. “How do you feel about stargazing?”
