Summary
The football field really is just grass. Grass with white lines painted over it so that it appears important. Tommy keeps walking.
It’s only then that he notices he’s not alone. A boy, older than Tommy, lays on the grass near the center of the field, beer bottle in hand. An empty one lays at his side, and it looks like he has four more queued up. There’s something almost artistic about the sight, the way the moonlight makes the bottle glow, or the way that cold perspiration glistens on its surface, or the way slender fingers tap rhythmically on the neck. It’s visual poetry, that’s what it is. Tommy gets the sense that he’s intruding and turns to leave when—
"You're new."
Having recently moved into a new neighborhood, Tommy decides that sneaking out is the best way to introduce himself to this new place. Somehow, he ends up on the football field. In one night he meets the one person more important than everyone else he's met before and changes the entire course of his life.

This takes events while Technoblade is in the snowy forest later in the story. It happens just about the same until this point. Believe the lore unless stated otherwise. Y/N starts off wondering through the forest before coming sword to neck with Technoblade and has to quickly explain herself.
I do not support a majority of the creators in the DSMP anymore so I will seriously try to avoid using them in this story but I do wanna make it as cohesive as I can.

Tommy felt like he couldn’t breathe as panic clawed at his ribcage and sunk itself deep into his heart. Surely Dream was kidding? Surely Dream would wheeze out a laugh and jokingly berade Tommy for how scared he looked, say that it was just a joke. “You’re going to TheFirstEmpire. You’re going to become one of Philza’s humans,”
It felt like his whole world had been flipped upside down and mercilessly shook.
Every part of him wanted to believe Dream was lying.. He wanted to beg, plead, get down on his knees and cry for Dream to do something because Tommy didn’t want to leave!He didn’t want to be some dumb peace offering to another coven! He didn’t want to leave Dream, even as mean and cruel as he could be.

Techno was four years old when his mother died.
He remembered that night better than he remembered his mom. His childhood before the fire was a blur of long dark hair, clever smiles, and Phil humming to himself while he cooked. He remembered Tommy better than Kristen. The kid had been all childish mischief and wide blue eyes back then.
He couldn’t picture his mother’s face, but he could recall the day Tommy was born like it was yesterday. He’d been so tiny. His eyes were still closed back then, but he looked more like Phil than Techno ever had. He remembered picking up that little hand (it could barely fit around his finger) and thinking, ‘I’m gonna protect you.’
Back then, Techno hadn’t known what Tommy needed protection from. In the six months before Kristen died, before Phil descended into obsession, he’d pictured fending off a few bullies. Maybe some pirates. It wasn’t until the monsters under his little brother’s bed crawled into the open that Techno fulfilled that promise.
