Theseus, Crown Prince of Logstedshire, is neglected by his king. His kingdom is rotting from within. Corruption festers, and the people are rising in protest, demanding a leader who will bring change. Even the surrounding kingdoms see Lodstedshire's decay, and the whispers grow louder. So what will they do to stop this?
One word. War.
But isn’t it cruel that Theseus, who had no hand in the kingdom’s fall, is tangled in the mess of his father’s actions? That he must shoulder the burden of keeping the kingdom from crumbling, all because of his unwavering loyalty to the throne?
The answer is yes. It is cruel.
Theseus is stuck in the hole that his father dug him in, and needs help, will he get it? Or will he suffocate in it all before he can even get close?

"You think we can…?"
"We have to," Wilbur choked out.
He raised his arm. The guards turned to them and soon one elbowed his way towards them.
"Magic, potions?"
"We have basics," Wilbur lied. They had basic herb knowledge but nowhere near to call themselves alchemists. "Healing salve for sure."

He swung into Clementine’s saddle with a practiced motion, feeling the familiar rhythm of the horse beneath him. The reins were in his hands, his bow and quiver slung over his back. He didn’t need anything else.
“Come on, girl,” Tommy muttered, giving Clementine a gentle nudge with his heels. She took off with ease, hooves thundering against the dirt as they raced toward the gates. The wind bit at his face, his hair whipping around as they sped down the familiar path toward the forest beyond the castle. He didn’t look back. He wouldn’t.
The gates of the castle were quiet, no guards in sight. Everyone was probably busy with something else, and Tommy wasn’t going to waste this opportunity. He kicked Clementine into a faster pace, his heart beating in time with the gallop. The forest loomed in the distance, dark and welcoming.

A Brave/Merida AU! where instead of trying to marry off a princess we are trying to make a prince act more like a King! SBI aren't neglectful, just trying to help in the wrong ways.

A piece of parchment is tossed in front of him. It's smooth and new, as if it were a freshly ironed garment. Techno is unsure if he should know what to expect. He reads the contents slowly, silently.
Unlike every other time he's been asked to read a letter addressed to him, they don't ask him to fight. They don't ask him to battle.
“You want me to..” Techno trails off, voice cut short by the rough edges of his throat. “You want me to be your kingdom’s general? Me, the guy who led a rebellion against you two years ago and the reason why you even need a new general in the first place?”
OR
Another kingdom asks Techno to be their general. It doesn't end well for him, but hey, at least he gets a new friend!

Technoblade whipped his head around to see the grin on his face. He had hoped for some acknowledgement then, perhaps even an explanation, but was given none. Instead, he spoke to the King once more. "I continue to govern this land in exchange for joining your empire. You rule all trade and have free reign over our military."
Philza's eyebrow raised. "And your general?"
A dismissive hand was raised. "Do as you wish with him."
Technoblade froze. He watched a calm smile spread across Philza's face and a hand come down on his shoulder.

Sam reached out a tentative hand and, slowly, pinched the paper from the raven’s beak. Countless eyes, including Tommy’s, examined him as he unfolded the note and held it up. His face was unreadable as he scanned the note. Eventually, he held it up to the crowd and Tommy realised with a start that the raven was gone.
He caught sight of the single word traced in looping handwriting occupying the full piece of paper. It read: L’manburg. Though the outside world had resumed its conversation, the room was still completely unmoving.
“She wishes for us to go to the capital.” Sam muttered. He still hung onto the paper, which seemed like it should’ve ripped from the tightness of his grip.
“She does.” Will breathed, “though I do not bow to mortal gods, I still believe we should listen to Her.”
Sam nodded gravely. There was a haunted look in his eyes, which he seemed to be unable to tear from the page before him.
“In that case, I think I have an idea as to who will join me.” And those eyes – those frozen brown eyes – settled precisely upon Tommy.
