Summary
Surrounded by the awakening town, late summer’s bees, and hibiscus flowers, Tanjiro stands still. Someone is standing at the doorway, not facing him. Tanjiro still has a few seconds before the new neighbor turns over.
Inosuke and Tanjiro share little. Rough edges brush against a warm, patient nature; a smirk sits next to a shy smile. Yet, their eyes linger on each other. Tanjiro longs for the adventure that is Inosuke. Inosuke indulges in the unpredictable night, that is Tanjiro.
But as Inosuke is yet to adapt to his new surroundings, Tanjiro is already preparing for a shift in his horizon. They continue to peel off each other's layers and reveal each other's secrets, but they can't stop the universe from pulling them apart.
This is a sweet, slice-of-life story set on the Okinawan islands, south of Japan. It follows Inosuke's and Tanjiro's senior high school year, as well as their own personal journeys with growing up. All of your favorite side characters included, of course!
