Summary
Macaque stayed behind when his husband went to war. He had their kingdom, and their child, to look after.
His duty to people was complicated by the unexpected cubs his mate left him with. Being pregnant with a young child to raise and a kingdom to protect was no easy task, but he managed, he was the Six Eared Macaque, the equal of the Monkey King himself, he could adapt to any challenge.Attacks on his territory? He could handle that.
Political games with potential enemies? He could do those in his sleep.His mate's supposed death?
The wave of attacks and opportunists that came in the aftermath?
The entire demon world suddenly clamoring for his hand now that his husband was dead?
Being pregnant at the same time all of this went down?He could adapt to that too, for the sake of his people and children, he had too.
Epic based LMK AU! But it focuses on Macaque (in Penelope's role) because I wanna write that.
