Nico made a frustrated noise and crossed the room to Will. Will leaned back but Nico leaned forward until their lips were only a hairsbreath away, closing his hand behind Wills neck.. “Want to try that again?” he invited pleasantly. His hands scraped gently at the hairs on the back of Will’s neck and Will shuddered.
The stretcher legs scraped against the floor as Austin hastily stood up. “Um, I am just gonna-”
Will barely heard him as his body went hazy with pleasure. He tipped his head back. “Nico…”
Nico’s teeth scraped gently down his throat. “Yes, il mio uccello canoro ? Talk to me.” His mouth curved against the hollow of Will’s throat as Will moaned and arched against him. “Or sing for me.”

Will?” Nico called. “Are you in there?”
The door opened, and Will stood there, a not-quite-right smile on his face. “Sorry,” he said. “I didn't realize it was you.”
Nico glanced around nervously, even though he knew the infirmary was abandoned except for the two of them. “Will, are you okay?” Nico asked when he was sure no one was eavesdropping.
“Yeah, yeah, I'm fine.” Will moved back into the room, allowing Nico access through the doorway. Will bustled about, arranging this pill bottle and that, checking things on clipboards and labels and charts taped up onto the walls. He might seem fine to someone else- a little preoccupied, sure, but fine. But Nico saw how he was flexing and unflexing his fingers, how he kept losing his focus and doubling back to check and re-check the same shelves. He was clearly upset about something. Nico stepped forward and took Will’s hand.
“You know you can talk to me about anything, right?”

But then Rihan decided to crawl in their blankets and lay down between them. Because his Will was home, he decided he was obligated to sleep with them.
“Rihan, you can’t keep sleeping in our room,” Nico sighed after Rihan stubbornly sat crossed legged on the bed after minutes of futile convincing, “You need to learn to sleep alone.”
“But even Will’s sleeping over today! I want to sleep here too!”
“Rihan,” Nico said sternly, using his papa-voice as Will called it, “Go to your room. You’re a big boy now.”
With a huff, Rihan jumped off the bed and stomped out, grumbling angrily under his breath.

The rest of his sentence was cut off as Nico grabbed his shoulders, stood on his toes, and kissed him with a passion that he usually reserved for when they were alone and at home. When Nico pulled away, he noted with satisfaction that Will had a bit of a dazed look about him.
Nico then focused his attention on the ginger woman, who was standing there with her jaw slightly open. He slid his arm around Will’s waist and asked him, “Aren’t you going to introduce me to your friend?”
Will finally regained his senses, and blushed before answering. “Oh, uh, yeah. This is Linnea, she’s a nurse.”
Nico extended a hand. “I’m Nico, Will’s husband ,” he said with fake politeness.
“Nice to meet you,” Linnea replied coolly, her face telling Nico that it wasn’t nice to meet him at all.
He didn’t care; he glared right back at her.

Will smiled, hoping his words wouldn't be too muffled when he spoke because there was no way he was moving from that exact position. "That was a good day."
He knew Nico was rolling his eyes. He laughed his 'I'm rolling my eyes' laugh. He felt Nico lean over and pull his curtains shut so no more light was coming through. It was pleasantly dark. Except Will knew that the gay pride flag nightlight that he had gotten Nico was on in the corner, because Nico was afraid of the dark and Will wanted him to think of him if he got scared—and to remember that he was only an Iris message away.

While all this was happening, the flag had been captured. Chiron was awarding the winners when Annabeth noticed that Nico and Will were missing. Chiron sighed, and told everyone not to worry, he’d find them. No one had been worried in the first place. Everyone has assumed the two had snuck off to do gods know what.
It took Chiron a bit to find them, during which both of Will’s hands ended up on Nico’s bare skin, and Nico had started lightly pulling at Will’s hair. Neither of them were being quiet at all.
They didn’t hear Chiron when he walked up. Not even when he cleared his throat.
“Capture the flag is over,” Chiron finally said, raising his voice so that the two couldn’t ignore him.
When Nico and Will realized that Chiron had stumbled upon them, they immediately broke apart, and tried to look as innocent as possible. The fact that they were covered in leaves, and both had flushed faces and swollen lips didn’t help. Nico fidgeted with his shirt while Will tried to tame his hair.
“We, uh, we were trying to capture the flag. We just got…lost,” Will said, trying to make his voice sound normal. Nico simply nodded.
