    Summary

A Plot Rewrite of the Gen 7 games— essentially Ultra Moon on an Ultra Sun clock, with elements of story and plot borrowed from Sun/Moon.

    Endgame Pairings:

    Moon/Gladion
    Hau/Lillie
    Guzma/Plumeria
    Red/Blue

Other relationships contain spoilers or are not particularly noteworthy.

I swear far more than I should, and I write ridiculously long end notes at the end of every chapter; if you don't like either or both of these things you may want to skip on reading this. Also my tags are a mess but I'm going to fix them when the entire series is completed whoops

"You could stay," Thorin says one more time, while they're standing at the mountain's gate. Bilbo has already said his goodbyes, and these are the last moments he'll ever spend in Erebor.
Thorin never offers more than those words. Never offers more than a possibility, more than the fact that Bilbo, after everything he’s done for them, would be welcome to stay.
    Bilbo leaves in the spring.

Newly grounded after their second five year mission, Kirk takes advantage of Spock's new position as a Starfleet Academy instructor to propose they try out a little roleplay.

And Spock has always appreciated his talent for theatrics.

    “Captain…” Spock began.

“Don’t worry, Spock, we’ll— we’re going to get out of this. It seems like it’s just a simple misunderstanding. Cultural differences and whatnot.”

    Spock nodded absently. “Yes.”

Spock and Captain Kirk are kidnapped by powerful telepaths who are interested, for archival purposes, in creating a very particular kind of hospitality.

My piece for “Aliens Made Them Do It” April— each of us attempted this trope for the first time!
