Wilbur had done it more times than he can count. He was the God of Destruction: it came with the territory, travelling across the universe, across timelines, just to break things once their time has come. It was a bit sad, really, that he only really got to see things once they were over, but he guessed that was life.

Niki woke up early. The ship was silent. Usually, at that time of day, it was filled with the sound of breakfast cooking. Today, however, only Niki was awake.
She’d fallen asleep on the floor by Puffy’s bedside. It probably wasn’t wise for her to sleep there, given Puffy’s state: what had started as a light cough had turned into the worst illness Niki had ever seen, a rash - like tendrils - radiating from the back of her right hand. She’d been up all day yesterday, desperately trying to keep her temperature down.
That was without considering Wilbur: he, too, had fallen to some sort of mystery illness. She’d found him in his cot the day before, wondering why the hell the other three members of her crew were missing, and had been unable to wake him.
She hadn’t wanted to leave them alone, but at this rate she needed to do something. They hadn’t yet left the port - she could go to find a doctor - but she didn’t want to leave them alone.
OR:
Niki's crew are all either ill or missing. When a fortune teller by the name of Eret offers to send her back in time to fix things, she accepts.

Wilbur is a ghost, cursed for eternity to haunt a house with two of the most annoying people ever. For the past twenty years, it'd just been him, Quackity, Schlatt, and Zsuzsanna Nihachu, the old lady that they couldn't seem to get rid of.
However, after a little... accident on Wilbur's part, there's now no one in the house left to haunt.

Tommy sighed. “Yeah, but you’re the only one that's been part of…” Tommy took in a breath. “That side of things.” Q hummed on the other end, the creak of his chair audible through the speakers. “Listen, I blacked out in an alley about a week ago in costume, but I somehow got home without any memory of it. And now all of my grocery lists keep disappearing but everything I wrote down on them keeps just appearing out of thin air. I’ve gotten care packages that seem like they’re at the wrong address about three times now.” This was so fucking strange. “And last night! I told myself I would get up early to do laundry but I missed my alarm— but it had already been done! I don’t— I don’t know what to do, big Q.” His breath was shaky. “I don’t know what this is.”or
Tommy doesn't know if he's being given gifts or if he's being stalked, but he figures it has something to do with his nightlife as a vigilante.
