Summary
When Agent Hange Zoë is called into the office, she expects to find only her chief, Erwin Smith, waiting for her. To her surprise, the well-known yet taciturn Agent Levi Ackerman is sitting there, too. As it turns out, the two of them are assigned to an important mission together: retrieving a stolen file. The catch lies in the rather unconventional approach—they would have to pose as a married couple in order to get closer to a potential suspect and his wife, who might be connected to the theft (and perhaps involved in more than just that.)
Hange agrees—after all, it’s for the mission, so who is she to argue? It’s not like she’s going to develop feelings for someone she’s just barely met, despite the closeness of their charade… right?
