One of the AU's me and a few players created based off a DnD game me and my best friend play in.
Princess Ascal Bidi of Nylva had travelled to Kardine for one purpose, to secure a marriage between her and Prince Beauregard Norixius. Although she was not happy with the arrangement, it would be good for her family to have at least one ally on their side. The agreement between the two kingdoms would be later strained as realizations would be made between the two that neither would be happy together.
Meanwhile, while the two royals would attempt to get along, a secret plot lurked in the underground. Waiting for the right moment to strike and achieve power. -

Summary
Life for Winnie Cipher was one of invisibility. As long as she maintained an invisible life she wouldn't be turned into her dictator of a brother. However, with the defeat of Bill Cipher she finally feels comfortable enough to break out of her shell. To live her life without that constant fear of being found is joyous news.
To bad her sense of security afterwards was all a lie.

Summary
After saving Jinshi, Maomao assumed things would go back to normal. She would be his servant, performing various investigations at his request, and studying her medicine on the side.
Instead she is stuck on a new trajectory that threatens the simple desires she loved in life. With Jinshi, she must hide her new identity in plain sight and aid the Rear palace by making sure no more Imperial heirs perish if she and Jinshi want to escape the chains of duty weighting them down.
During this process she must learn to be a wife and mother without letting enemies know she is the Moon Prince’s wife.

Little excitement is expressed here, as much of the court considers her a scandalous illegitimate child born out of a tryst with a courtesan. Rumors swirl that she inherited the La Clan's signature strangeness, with whispers circulating about her unusual behaviors and interests amongst the haughty ladies. Though she tries to stay in the shadows and live quietly, she somehow still catches the gaze and interest of who matters most: the devilishly handsome and unmarried Crown Prince.
After that, her simple life grows a great deal more complicated.

This is a prequel to my love in different fonts - you do NOT need to have read/finished that to read this. It can stand alone as a short story about Jinshi & Maomao’s engagement (but you should read it, because I think it will make this more fun.)

Jinshi’s wanted to marry her for a long time. Maomao has finally come around. They’re both eager to build a life together … and maybe also to get to their wedding night and swap virginities.
Too bad they have to wait another six months for a particularly auspicious date to do so!
