Summary
A massive wave had risen next to the bridge, stretching at least ten feet above their heads. The group looked to said son of Poseidon, who was standing deathly still before them. A shadow had fallen over his face and his eyes were the color of greek fire, a murderous glint shining in them.
Needless to say, they all backed away from the side of the bridge. Percy’s eyes followed their every step.
Percy remembered how in Tartarus, when he’d tried to kill Akhlys with her own poison, something inside of him had broken. He could feel the edges of that glass sharpen within him once more as he stared at the demigods cowering in fear in front of him. It felt good. He dimly was aware that Riptide had returned to his pocket, but he didn’t need that anymore. His whole body was tense, and he knew he must be expending a lot of energy creating a wave like that but he didn’t care at the moment. Annabeth was bleeding out behind him. His hands, coated in her blood, tightened into fists. His entire body was numb.
