Summary
Clint’s first indication of trouble is when the smoke detector wakes him up from a sound sleep. He jerks out from under the pillows, staring blearily and unseeing at the headboard for a moment as the steady, shrill beep stabs into his sleep-muddled brain. As he tries to figure out why slapping the top of the alarm isn’t doing anything to make the noise go away, he also slowly clues into the fact that he’s alone in bed.
Then he smells the smell of burning things.

He doesn’t care about making friends but he does have some people he’s in good terms with. He doesn’t want more, attempts to force the issue with him will be met with a sneaky and swift retaliation, as many can attest.
He may be an idiot like professor Callaway always tells him, but he doesn’t care.

And then ickle itsy bitsy Cora Hale enters Salem, gets sorted into the special tier and, wide eyed after one of his experiments blows up spectacularly, she points at him before telling professor Callaway, who was with her, I can choose anyone right? I want him to be my mentor.

He’s not very impresed with Alpha Hale’s management of the territory.
