"Waking up in a dungeon with no clue how you got there is a bit 'annoying'. Waking up to find everyone speaking a different language is also annoying. Having to deal with a giant portal that spits out demons is just damn repetitive. But going around, recruiting new people because I'm some 'religious figure'? You go do that, because I cannot and will not go around inviting random people to join our new and not-so-exclusive 'kill all demons' club just because I have a shiny green hand that does magic tricks. Fuck that."
Or; In which the Hero of Kvatch can handle demons, portals, a new world, maybe even the same old quest line with a twist, but cannot and will not handle being a "religious figure". Like, have they met him? It's not gonna work out, at all.

Summary
Tamriel is filled, and surrounded, by energies- not necessarily magic. Every Hero whose named in the Scrolls has the odd tendency to... attract certain energies. (Why else do you think all the weird shit happens to them?)
But a Hero isn't always a hero, and vice versa. There may be a primary plot here, but there's always something else happening- and it all converges in the end.Mordayne is cynical, morbid, and sarcastic. He knows that the world is shit, and you just have to deal with what you're dealt. he also knows that stopping what is basically the apocalypse is in no way a one man job, but Gods know people are going to ask him to do it anyway.

Shouta’s plan had been ill-defined and desperate from the start, but he figures the important shit boiled down to, “Change as little as possible, make sure Midoriya doesn’t get himself killed, and stock up on lychee jelly pouches because that flavor got discontinued three years from now.” Keeping it simple’s always better, and he’s normally good at improvising.
Somewhere along the way, he must’ve fucked up since now he has:
A quirkless problem child hanging off of his every word
His best friend going through a sexuality crisis thanks to said problem child’s mom
His other best friend clinging to him like a security blanket
Some two-bit mob boss threatening him with bouquets of daffodils
To wring the number one hero’s fucking neck for not telling him anything useful before sending him decades into the past
All he did was walk Izuku Midoriya home. It wasn’t meant to turn into whatever mess this is.
