Summary
The reality of the situation was that their whole class had actually gotten involved in a bet about who would end up with who from team Minato, so seeing Rin and Obito making what they all thought was goo-goo eyes at one another, a lot of people who had bet on them thought they had won.
No one had expected Kakashi to get in the middle of them though, giving people who had bet on Rin and Kakashi what they thought was a fighting chance if their youngest classmate was actually realizing he liked the medical-nin back now that she seemed so close with Obito.
It was a whole mess of drama and rumors that team Minato would probably be hacking their lungs over with crimson faces if they knew everything that was being speculated about them.

Summary
Minato feels a tug at his pant leg, holds up a hand for Rin to pause as he looks down, only to be met with a shock of white hair and big, dark eyes staring imploringly up at him, “Sensei, Obito threw up again.”
Shit, he looks away for one second, and—
Minato spins around, and is greeted with the sight of Obito, clutching his stomach as he hunches over a puddle of his own sick. Well, at least we’re outside.
“Are you okay, Obito?” Minato asks urgently, placing his hands gently on Obito’s shoulders.
Obito looks up at him with round eyes filled with tears, snot dripping from his nose—“Kakashi hit me!” He proclaims, voice both too shrill and too loud, filled with a righteous anger.
“Again?”
“Again!” Obito confirms, and Minato lets out a sigh that is perhaps a touch too long.
“Kakashi”—he starts in what Kushina has labeled his tired dad voice—“we don’t hit our teammates.”

Summary
“Kakashi,” Minato-sensei strains, expression caught between disappointment and how-did-you-even-do-that.
“What?” Kakashi asks, innocent. “I’m just training.” He’s sure Obito would be protesting that claim if Obito could move enough to. Fortunately, Obito can’t. “Obito’s helping me.”
Minato-sensei looks terribly doubtful of that, shifting his gaze between Kakashi and Obito. To make up for the fact Obito is currently a puddle on the ground, completely unable to move, Kakashi shifts to make himself look as innocent as possible. “Right,” Minato-sensei stretches out the word, “Make sure that”—he casts another disturbed glance at Obito—“whatever you did to him reverses without any side effects.”
“Of course, Minato-sensei. I wouldn’t leave one of my teammates compromised.”
