Dear Journal,
I don't know why I bother with the "dear" shit at all actually. Just feels right, I guess, even if you're extremely UNdear to me and I still LOATHE you and everything you represent. You are my ball and chain. My jail cell. I scratch the lines of your dumb paper like a fuckin. Criminal or some shit would rattle the bars of their cell with a metal cup or something. Like in those old movies, where they wear black and white stripes and everything, y'know? That's me whenever I write in you. I hope you know that.
I hope the knowledge of that fills you with as much dread as the sight of your stupid red cover fills ME with dread. I hope you grow to hate me as much as I hate you. I hope we hate each other so much that they have to invent a fuckin. Hate marriage. A marriage of hatred. Just for a man and his journal to get humbly hate-married to each other.
Anyways.
Dream hit me today. It was weird. Left a bright red mark on my cheek, too.

Dream glares at him. Tommy grins, a mischievous glint in his eyes, and keeps going.
« AND EVERY WINTER I THINK OF WHAT WE USED TO BE- »
If he could, Tommy is sure that Dream would kill him again. But the thing is-
The thing is that Tommy is already dead. He died in this very same cell that Dream is still stuck in, at the hands of that very same man.
And truly, what else can he do but spend his time as a ghost driving the man who killed him to insanity and back?
(Or alternatively: Tommy is dead and haunting his murderer, Dream is being driven mad by the boy he killed, and everyone is guilty yet blames anyone other than themselves.)
