Summary
Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist Tony Stark climbed up the steps to stand next to the podium, his brightest, most fake, smile plastered on his face. Internally, he was exhausted and numb to the attention that had been foisted upon him since birth. He was tired of this superhero stuff, the politics, always cleaning up after SHIELD. Following orders was not his thing and after what he had seen on SHIELD's "private" server he wasn't so sure being an Avenger would work out...
Oh well, he tried.

28 May 2025: I’m trying to get back to this story but, honestly, it’s been a while since I’ve watched any of the Marvel movies. The death of Tony Stark in Endgame kinda killed my hyperfixation. Any updates will be solely based onto my spotty memory of the movies I have watched and will be incredibly sporadic. Thanks!

Why couldn't he move? Why couldn’t he hear? Why was there no pain?
Because you’re dying, that corner of his brain pitied.
Then, a voice cut through the droning buzz muddling his thoughts.
It was stern, commanding attention. It was as clear as a midnight sky lit by a full moon. It echoed in his head, rattling against his skull and resonating like it had been transmitted right into his brain, like he had thought the foreign voice himself.
“Leave him to me! I’m a doctor!”
And then suddenly Luffy was not in the passenger seat of his brother's old car. He was not blinking in the harsh contrast of the ambulance lights against the shadows of the vehicle’s interior. He was not immobile beneath an airbag.
He was surrounded by raging waves, crashing against the hull on which he stood.
And he was staring at a massacre.
