Summary
A blind man and a mute man meet in a church. Somehow, they make the friendship work.
Jason's ultimatum ends in the way he least expected it: with a batarang to the neck courtesy of Batman, and his murderer laughing as he bled out. Even though he survived, the damage was done. Mute, he decided to take his leave and wound up in Hell's Kitchen, New York.
Enter Matt Murdock; blind lawyer by day and the vigilante known as Daredevil by night. Some would say his desire to help others would be what would get him killed one day, and his track record did back up that sentiment. However, that doesn't stop him from befriending a broken but kindred spirit.

There is a particularly hateful fish residing on Qing Jing Peak.
Contrary to any romanticized notions, this carp is neither divine nor spiritual, it is not meant for aiding in cultivation. It is simply a carp, perhaps marginally more intelligent than the common variety. Visually unimpressive, its appearance does not distinguish it from any other carp.
One ponders how a single food ingredient carp could change the fate of an entire story.
