“‘Do you trust me, Jabberjaw?’” Foolish looked up from the words to greet the sight of a faceless, yet somehow, completely serious Agent 18 with an amused smile. “Yeah of course man. I might even go as far as to say with my life. We’re partners in this whole— hmm, well… I guess technically I’m like… your boss in a way. I’m still a little bit confused about that— wait, why did you ask me that? Are you about to show me something?”
It felt like Agent 18’s heart was simultaneously getting hugged and stabbed at the same time by how hard it was pounding against his ribs. Slow and steady his hands reached out– being extra careful so that Foolish could anticipate his actions and that they don’t shake in their uncertainty– before they cupped the other man’s face. The totem-shark hybrid tensed up upon the contact; his eyes widened and flickered back and forth between the bear and the paws holding his cheeks in bewilderment. Agent 18 held his crush’s face in a gentle, easily escapable grip as he pulled Foolish down to his height.

Summary
Without the immediate task of making sure Leonarda was both physically and mentally alright clouding Foolish’s mind his body finally felt the nagging ache of exhaustion that– on any other day– would have knocked him out right where he stood. Everything from losing Leo to rescuing five Brazilian people from their shipping crate cage had definitely worn down his body and he could only assume the same for Bad.
“Thanks for hanging out with me.” Bad gave him a tired smile; it was small but genuine and tilted more to one side than the other. The bags underneath his eyes were more noticeable underneath the natural light.
“Yeah…” Thanks for being by my side went unsaid.

What does one do when exhaustion and stress leaves no more room for bickering and fighting? Especially since that’s all Foolish and Bad ever seem to do. The answer is obvious: cuddling and passing out together on a bench .

“Huh.” His tone was soft with a hint of intrigue. “So… you are not a hunter..?”

The injured boy glanced away for a moment, lost in thought. His gaze wandered mindlessly through the fields of white buds and green leaves. He scanned his silent judgment throughout Techno’s farm, perhaps he was just searching for any faults in his truth, a hidden trap within his potato fields.
Gradually, a small smirk, undeterred by Techno’s unentertained expression, danced across the blond boy’s features.
“Do you always answer in only three words?” His voice was playful and devious as they escaped through those abnormally sharp fangs of his.
“Perhaps I do.”

Techno didn’t think he was asking for much when all he wished for was a nice and peaceful retirement, but unfortunately it was. Small hoof fingers began softly playing with the dark purple feathers. Both hands, one player and one piglin, which held the sword loosened to nothing more than just a forgotten memory as one become more mesmerized at the glimmering, violet, shine that preened under all of the careful strokes and the other become more intrigued at the abnormal behaviors of what he once deem as a mindless mob he did not hesitate in killing.
“You’re a strange one aren’t you, mate?”
The piglin gave him a huff that sounded way too deep to be a child’s and an indifferent expression, his previously petting hands retreated back to his side and he stared the elder down with no hints of aggression or fear, as if he was the one dawning Netherite gear and not the other way around.
