Summary
Eddie deflects, not sure how to react to the full weight of his attention. “I didn’t catch your name.”
“Steve,” he says plainly, throwing his hand out. His skin is so soft, confirming Eddie’s suspicion that he’s rich. But his hand is also big, and warm, and Eddie has to remind himself to shake firmly.
“I’m Eddie. Is it just Steve, or is there a title I need to know about?”
That actually seems to offend Steve a bit, which is surprising given his appearance. Usually these noble-heir types love to boast about their future inheritances. “It’s technically Lord Harrington, but it just doesn’t have the same ring to it, I don’t think. And what about you, are you just Eddie?” Steve recovers easily from the slight, slouching to sling an arm over the back of the chair and taking a long, pointed look up and down Eddie's body.
Two can play at that game, and Eddie tips his head and looks up through his bangs when he replies, “You can call me whatever you want to, Steve.”

Summary
Eddie Munson accidentally became a florist. His new neighbor is some hipster tattoo artist who bugs him once a week to buy flowers for his shop. Eddie gives him six months before he closes shop and moves out of the neighborhood like everyone else who leased the space across the street.
Steve Harrington is sick of being an outsider in the tattoo world so he enlists his platonic soulmate Robin to help him open his own studio. He absolutely is not distracted by the metalhead florist across the street.

Steve huffs. “What makes you so sure that you can convince me?” He asks with an arched eyebrow. “The kids have tried and failed and you know how relentless they are.”
“Yeah, but I can be very persuasive.” He gestures at himself with a hand flourish. “You know, as a cult leader and all.”
Steve hums. “Of course.” He leans his hip against the counter, only an inch away from Eddie’s thigh.
“There’s gotta be something I can do to convince you,” Eddie says, moving his thigh until it touches Steve’s hip. “Something I can give you in exchange. To make it worth your while.”
Steve’s eyes immediately dart down to Eddie’s lips. Eddie’s stomach swoops. There it is.
