It’s not really a question. It's a match lit in a dry room, and the effect is immediate.
Jisung lets out a soft, helpless groan—head dropping, fingers twisting tighter in his lap—while Chan jolts in the chair, body twisting as he shouts, "What the fuck, Minho—" trying to stand but going nowhere, because Minho’s grip is still locked onto him.
He manages to twist around enough to face him. And what he sees is startling.
The mask is gone.
Minho’s grinning now. Wide, toothy, something wild curling at the corners of his mouth. It’s not cruel, but it is unnerving. It’s not a joke, not anymore. His laugh comes low, sliding out of him like something untamed.
And it’s only then Chan realises that Minho didn’t drag him here for an argument.
