Summary
Everyone seems to come to Timmins for some peace of mind. Raymond has to muscle through teaching another semester of bored students and wielding his poor social skills against his charming coworker and overbearing boss. Barry barely scrapes away from a near dire mistake in Toronto, attempting to start over as a mechanic. Devyn is still haunted-figuratively and literally-by her sister's death left behind in Ireland years ago, but shrugs it off to hold her siblings together. Olive thinks taking a gap year from UCLA at her cousins will clear her head; that is, until she dies protecting him only to wake up with new abilities.
People come to Timmins expecting quiet. The truth is, silence is where the horror thrives.

Summary
Ned had been cold when he woke up, lying exactly where he remembered he had been before his vision had faded. He laid there, watching the clouds drift by for a couple of moments as he tried to remember what had led him to be here.
It came to him in pieces. The people gathered around the Arch, ready to wage war. His clever, only somewhat convincing lie that had led a bunch of them away. The glowing sarcophagus. Dani. A loud bang, and some pain in his chest. Then the stars- bright, brilliant, and gone.
They were still gone now, replaced by a serene blue sky, and a shining winter sun. He brought his hand up to shield his eyes, and was startled when the light passed right through them. He jerked upward, staring down at his hands. They were a translucent, milky grey, and they started flickering in and out of existence. He noticed that he felt panicked, but he was lacking the key symptoms: his heart wasn’t racing, and his breathing hadn’t quickened.
It sunk in, the realization burying itself into chest like a knife. He was dead.

Summary
He walked over to Boyd’s room, and knocked on the door. He waited for a couple of moments for Boyd to answer. When he didn’t, Ned knocked again. This was unusual. Boyd was an unusually polite criminal; he would never leave somebody standing outside for longer than 30 seconds. Ned was about to knock again when he heard a loud thump against the ground.
