Summary
Adora has a secret to keep from the Rebellion: she is in love with Catra. Since they were teenagers, actually. But when she was at the Horde with the brunette, she had to suppress those feelings because she was taught that it was a weakness and something a good soldier won't do. Present time, she knows those feelings are valid and worthwhile, but she knows nothing about how to love. So, she reads an extensive guide about "how to properly love women".
She finds the answer to her question: how to love? However, she wasn't expecting love to be made of complicated poses, delighted facial expressions and dirty talking. And zero clothes.
Adora feels hot and bothered after that, and the fact that Catra is at Princess Prom teasing her doesn't help at all...

"Did you have enough sense to come alone, sister?". Catra rolls her eyes, knowing Mara isn't looking at her. She hates this trite supervillain monologuing. Adora's face twitches into a smile for a moment.
"Yes. I'm not looking for any trouble. Just give me Catra back".
"Well, if you want her back-" Mara jostled her forward, roughly grabbing her arms and twisting them painfully "-you are going to have to give me your sword Adora". Adora's eyes are blazing blue as she lets out a low growl.
"Don't touch her. Don't even look at her, Mara".
OR
There is a rescue mission and Catra and Adora have a long-overdue conversation. Superhero AU.

Summary
Catra suddenly laughs, because what is she doing? She’s a closeted lesbian who hasn’t spoken to her family in years because of it, she’s struggling financially through grad school, she lives in a shitty apartment, and she’s just, essentially, offered to help a ghost figure out how to be a ghost.
But the hopeful look in Adora’s eyes is still there, and she’s wearing the first genuine smile Catra’s ever seen on her, and she’s almost blindsided by how beautiful Adora is.
So Catra nods and says, “yeah. I’ll help you figure it out,” because really, how hard can it be?
(Really, she has no idea what she’s getting herself into.)
