    Vader first meets her wandering alone in the Imperial Palace, five years of age with dark brown hair curled up and trapped into buns at the back of her head. When she turns to look up at him and all his intimidating glory, he’s met with a face he thought he’d never see again.
    “Padmé?” He finds himself asking, kneeling and frozen in place.

    It was always Vader. Never the dragon, never the fire. All that is felt is the deep, dark, cold in his veins. He can almost see his death, in this feeling. He may not die alone, but he will be frozen over and forgotten. And that’s all he wants now- for the people of the galaxy to forget the pain that Vader, the Emperor’s Fist, brought to their world.     Anakin and Obi-Wan woke up weeks before the beginning of the Clone Wars with memories of the next seven years. While they still struggle to accept both what they’ve done and what was done to them, they’ve started on the road to healing and atonement.

    Now, they begin to plan how to defeat Darth Sidious while reacclimatizing to their lives from before the war. There is still much personal trauma for them to work through as they try to deal with their past and prepare for their future. But, as long as they have each other, nothing is insurmountable.
