Summary
The first time Maddie saw Phantom face to face, she recognized him. It had happened, the one thing she feared but in the back of her mind always knew would. Her Danny wasn’t human anymore….but then again, he never really had been.
Fourteen years ago, Maddie and Jack rescued an infant Danny from the GIW, intent on giving him a normal life. Now, with the return of Danny’s powers come a host of dangers. Legions of ghosts, negative public opinion, and most damningly, the return on the GIW.
Maddie will do whatever it takes to protect her son, even from himself. But her need for control might prove a danger all to itself. Will her fear drive him away? Or will her love prove strong enough to conquer even it?Series

He hadn’t meant to do it. His core had acted without their input. They had morphed, stretched, and swelled, their form growing to became two.
And now.. they were. They were one being with two bodies. Two forms with one mind. Two in one and one in two.

That is, until he accidentally activated the portal to hell in their basement one weekend.
Now Danny has to start high school trying to cover up his ghostly attributes, but it’s fine. It’s not like there’s going to be any more trouble, right?
(This is a take on the portal accident where Sam and Tucker are not there and Danny copes alone after with added limitations as a result of the accident.)

Summary
Danny can’t be dead, he can’t! Sure, he might have gotten into a major accident and looked like a ghost for a second… but that’s just because he got ghost powers from it! There is no way he’s actually dead. Absolutely not, they (Sam and Tucker) refuse to accept it!
Well, he is, and wants Sam and Tucker to understand that they killed him… and maybe help him bury his corpse.
OR
It was Death. That was undeniable, something that could not be changed, just like he couldn’t. He isn't who he was before, isn’t Danny any longer. But Danny still deserves to be remembered, and buried properly. And hopefully, he’ll have his friends and maybe family there with him to help.

“Val, do it.” She recognizes the popping static of ghost speak. Danny raises his head and the pain in his eyes is gone, replaced with grim, angry determination.
She opens her mouth to respond, but he stops her.
“Don’t reply, just shoot me. If you do it, you’re free.”
He couldn’t survive this. Not unless there's something major he isn’t telling her.
And then she remembers there is.

Valerie and Danny are kidnapped by the GIW due to their anomalous ectoplasmic radiation readings. In the lab, they're put trough testing to determine whether or not they still count as human. Danny struggles with the cost of keeping his secrets to avoid hurting Valerie, while Valerie grapples with the real ramifications of her suit’s technology and how ghostly she's becoming. Together they must both face their truths if they want to get out alive.
