As Neil fixed his tie in the bathroom mirror, pulling it so tight he was half-certain he'd asphyxiate before the night closed, he seriously regretted telling his father about Knox's connection to the Danburry's. Or, more specifically, Knox’s connection to one Dr. Danburry.
Alternatively;
Neil has a dinner scheduled with the Danburry's that he is absolutely not looking forward to. Little does he know that the dinner will have an extra guest attending—a "friend" of Ginny's from school, with sandy-blonde hair, powder blue eyes, and a notebook clutched to his chest.

welcome to my ATYD <3 this work spans across 15 years, so you will see the boys eventually too. this fic is entirely canon compliant except for the fact that in the movie, john arrived at welton his sophomore year rather than his senior year (as stated in his annual) (i didn't realize this until like three months ago) (i have no idea how i missed it when i was starting this fic like four years ago and combing through the movie for research). but everything else could conceivably fit within the world of the movie! i put a lot of work and care into this piece so i hope you enjoy :))) MCKEATING IS REAL!!!!!!!!!
