Summary
Sighting of a demon has been seen in a small village. Rengoku is sent to take care of it and told that another Hashira will be joining him. He finds out the demon only goes after couples. He hopes the Hashira that will join him is easy to get along.
He is not expecting Tomioka.
He is also not expecting to let him allow Rengoku be close to him.
He finds more about Tomioka during those a nights than he ever has in the past years.

One of the cats had been curled up next to him, opening its eyes as Giyuu came over. He put a finger to his lips, telling the cat ‘shhh’ as if to signal not to wake Kyoujurou, as if the cat understood the gesture. At that, it simply closed its eyes again. Giyuu looked endearingly at him for a moment, a smile making its way onto his face again as he was falling in love all over again. Well, he could sleep until it was time to eat. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see another cat making it’s way to Kyoujurou.
