The words lay so plainly in the trial transcript, repeated back to him in voices that are not his own. He had said those words in the spur of a moment to defend Zak Gramarye without second thought to how it sounded. Phoenix had to tread carefully now, no more impulsive words, he had to straddle the line of defending himself without casting suspicion on Zak.
Phoenix stands for review on front of the bar association on the verge of losing his attorney's badge for forging evidence, the moment Kristoph defends Phoenix.

Summary
Terry Fawles fell limp against the stand, eyes drooping closed. The bailiff tried to shake Mr.Fawles awake for the body to fall off onto the ground with a sickening thud.
Miles couldn’t look away from the scene before him, backing himself into the wall behind him. He held a hand over his mouth, frozen in horror. Manfred made his way down from the gallery, his student not making note of his presence, his eyes fixed on the scene.
“Edgeworth!” Manfred snapped his fingers in front of Miles’ face to get his attention.
“H- he’s dead. He’s dead. He’s really dead,” Miles gasped.

Summary
There was nothing of note about the man who handed Trucy the forged diary page of her late grandfather, the forged piece of evidence that forced the courts to disbar her adoptive father. The man wore a medical mask, a generic black suit & tie and a baseball cap. Whoever it was who framed her adoptive father, was not going to make it easy for him to find them.
There was one distinguishing feature of the man, there was a scar on the back of his hand or he might have, she isn’t so sure. The scar appeared and disappeared to what seemed like a moment’s glance, just like a disappearing trick. Trucy is familiar with disappearing tricks, how easily an eye can be fooled by a slight of hand, she figured she might have been mistaken.
One night, Kristoph comes home instead of Phoenix claiming to be here to babysit for the night but Trucy has a feeling that he has really come to tie up loose ends.

Summary
Following the aftermath of Hazakura Temple, Edgeworth builds up the nerve to confess his feelings to Phoenix, to his utter bafflement Phoenix reciprocates.
In an in-depth exploration of how a relationship would develop between them, watch as these two knuckleheads try to fit a relationship in their chaotic lives. As opposing sides of the court, they attempt to keep their relationship a secret for the sake of their reputations. Edgeworth goes through the events of the Investigations 1 & 2 while overcoming his hiccups with intimacy. Phoenix’s saviour complex and caginess build pressure as Maya and Pearl move away, leading up to the events of Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice. Trucy (chapter 8+) loses her whole family and gains another, weirder one.
For Phoenix, Edgeworth and Trucy, taking care of each other is rotten work but by god they’re going to do it.

Summary
After years of legal complications, it's finally time for the reading of Manfred von Karma's final will and testament. In need of some moral support, Edgeworth requests that Phoenix supply his 'consultation services' and accompany him to the von Karma family estate in Germany (despite having been disbarred for two years and just about zero knowledge of inheritance law).
Sure, Phoenix had been expecting to deal with the ensemble of judgey relatives (not literally, thank god), jetlag, crushing homesickness for his daughter, and even von Karma's tragic interior design choices. A whole murder case, however? That he hadn't accounted for. (Which, in retrospect, may have been a bit of an oversight because he and Edgeworth really do seem to be magnets for this kind of thing...)
