"Rey was dragged away by her friends, all happy to see her returned safe and unharmed. She was in her normal clothes, the style she had developed for herself from her years on Jakku. What Leia’s gaze lingered on was her hair. Her normal buns were gone, replaced by a style Leia knew well.
Because Leia was sure she taught the hands that made those braids."
When Rey returns from an undercover mission sporting a very familiar braid in her hair, Leia silently questions how she got them. At the same time remembering when she taught the same patterns to the boy whose hand she was sure made the one the Jedi now wore.

When something happens during a gig that makes her lash out, she thinks she might have blown it for good. But on her way to drown her sorrows, she's intercepted by the drummer from a rival band. He's got blood on his forehead, a glimmer in his eye, and is on the hunt for a bassist to join his new group. He also might want to sleep with her.
