“Good, because I’m already in the car,” Mykola states, voice stern. “I’m about twenty minutes out.”
For some reason, my brain supplies a different voice saying those same words. A voice I haven’t even thought about in a year. A voice I don’t even want to remember. A shaky exhale escapes me, and then a soft sob. The tears start a moment later, once I process that I actually pictured Jan in striking 4k.

I pat the bench thing, muttering a greeting to it. The nurse laughs.
“What kind of music do you like?” she asks, handing me some earplugs.
“I like everything, really. I listen to Alt Rock the most, though. Breaking Benjamin, Linkin Park, stuff like that.” I shove the little foam pieces into my ears and lay down on the bench, wiggling around to get as comfortable as possible. It isn’t very.

“You can’t keep this from them forever, Matthew. They need to know, in case something happens,” Alfred counters.
“Why don’t you tell them, then? Hm? You know just as well as I do that they’ll never let me out of their sight again, that’s why.” I cross my arms over my chest and glare at my twin. He glares right back, gaze sharpened into a weapon.
We don’t say anything for several minutes.
“Tell them,” Alfred says, much more softly than before. I glance away from him, down to my red and black checkered bedspread.
Alfred stands up, moving towards me and sitting on the bed in front of me. He turns so his whole body is facing me, and after a second I do the same. I look back up at him, and all I see there is exhausted concern. I know he’s right, but dammit am I scared of the reaction.Series

Summary
Metropolis was a city of sun. The glass and metal buildings started to shine as the sun rose. It made the image of the city feel hazy and light, like a mirage you’re trying desperately to believe in.
Gotham was a city of night. The smoke and stone choked the light out of its streets, catching its citizens in its catacombs. The sun couldn’t touch it as it stuttered along. It looked even more like a shadow of the city that should be there as the sun rose.
The two cities were superimposed onto each other, the light of the sun just touching the horizon breaking the barriers that would be there for the majority of the day. But for a dozen or so minutes each morning, they existed simultaneously. The dark of Gotham tried to smother the shine of Metropolis as the twinkling skyscrapers tried to do the same to the rundown warehouses of the other.
And as they appeared next to, on top of, and within each other, so did Tim and Kon.
