Summary
It sounds odd, but the end of the world is kind of boring. No one really tells you how quiet and empty it is, either. Silence has found its way back to Margo, a blanket that has draped itself across both the shoulders of Earth and herself. In the world after the Turn, knowing how to navigate it in this new context has become one's biggest weapon.
Margo Wilson had finally made a life for herself. When the dead started walking, she found herself miles away from the safety she had spent years carefully cultivating. She tries to replicate that safety now, living day by day and struggling to survive with Stella, her best friend, and the new family they had made along the way.
Then an accident forces her apart from that new family. Found by survivors out on the road, Margo is once again forced to start over. She isn't quite sure how to navigate this world anymore.
But maybe these new people know how, and maybe she can find a family in them too.
