Summary
Natsuki Subaru, a normal girl from a normal world. Hailed as the perfect girl at school, "She has it all" as some say, and who wouldn't think so? She has good looks, perfect grades, a smile that comforts you at your worst. Everything about her seems to have been molded to be perfect. But is that really all there is to her?
Transported to another world, she chooses to look for a way home. She decides to help a elf girl in exchange for information. Surely nothing can go wrong by just helping someone out, right?

Summary
This story began as a comment on a Reddit post, asking what twists and turns would need to take place in the story in order for Ram x Subaru to become a thing.
By this point, I think, nothing could lead to that. But then I read the comments, and found that a lot of people think that there never was a chance, and I found their naysaying ways disappointing.
I think differently, and so I made a draft, about what I thought what could've reasonably occurred to make it happen, with minimal bending of the canon and the characters.
The OP of the post read it, and asked me to write a fic, even if it's still in that summarising, draft like format of that Reddit comment, they'd be interested.
So here it is, or at least, a tribute. If there's enough interest, I might rework it into a proper fanfiction later. Till then, have fun reading my attempt to make one of the most criminally underrated ships a chance to set sail.

Having exhausted every option he had, with agony coursing each limb-- teeth cracked with frothy blood dying his tattered clothing a grim hue of scarlet-- his internal organs aching about in a frenzy, as Subaru was hacked at in this "duel" turned public lynching.
Dirty tricks? Failed. Mind games? Failed. Provocations? Failed. Magic, maybe? Failed.
What'd become of Subaru in this duel?

During the night with nightmares of the past. Living this kind of life is painful, and Subaru had to keep up the mask of joy, even though he hated it. But what if somebody visited him? Somebody who can allow him to share his feelings, his fears... Somebody who understand the weight of the burdens he carry?
