Summary
“What’s it matter?” Izzy says. “School holidays. I assume you’re doing,” he waves his hand. “Child things.”
“Well,” Stede says. “Yes. But it matters because I want to know.”
Of course he does. “Normally,” Izzy says, “I volunteer. Pretty big uptick of goodwill around Christmas. Everyone suddenly remembers the poor exist.”
“For the whole week?”
Izzy squints over at him, suspicious. “For as long as they need me,” he retorts. Of course, the uptick of goodwill also includes an uptick of volunteers. In recent years his presence hasn’t been as necessary.
“Right,” Stede nods, and levers himself into a sitting position. “So, the thing is–“
“Oh, here it comes.” Izzy glares at him. “Ulterior Motives Bonnet.”
Stede has a plan for Christmas. Izzy and Ed go along with it.

Summary
“Our relationship with Stede's kids is… Well it exists! Isn't that something?”
Maybe once when he was a kid himself, Izzy had idly wondered what it would be like to have children, to be a dad. But then he'd seen Ed and his world had spun and he had rarely if ever thought about it again. When the world became just the tiniest bit gentler he thought maybe he'd bring it up to Ed, but then they were two middle-aged guys set in their ways in a tiny apartment with no room and little patience. What could they have done for a kid? So Izzy tucked it away, because he loved Ed and he liked his life and that was it. But then there was Stede and the world opened wide for him again.
So now he's something to his partner's kids. He's not quite sure what that something is. Sometimes they come to him for advice. Sometimes they even listen.
-0-
Domestic fluff in the winery-verse. Alma and Louis benefit from Izzy's wisdom, we learn how Ed and Izzy got together, and they all celebrate Fathers' Day (without really knowing where to put the apostrophe).

Summary
Ed doesn’t remember the first form his daemon took, but he knows the first form he remembers it taking. He was a small child, no older than four, when he sat on the ground next to a mug of water he liked to play with, splashing it about, and the thing took on the form of an elongated creature with long, thin legs in the liquid, poking its head out over the rim with a curious glance.
It wasn’t Ed’s first word either, what he said there, but it’s the one he remembers most, more than any others:
Shrimp.
or:
Ed spends half his life hiding who he is. That is, until Izzy and his daemon Baz turn his whole world upside down (and Bimp happens).
Where Ed's daemon is the kraken, Izzy's is a swallow, and they find out that size isn't everything, but sometimes small is just right.

Summary
Izzy centric - fluff, secret, classic trope (soulmate!Au).
-
There is a popular belief in the pirate world that Izzy Hands is such a compassionless inhumane man that he doesn't have a soulmate. His heart is so cold that it cannot contain the existence of love. That belief, of course, is false. Izzy Hands does have a soulmate... but that soulmate doesn't have him marked on his skin. It's something that hadn't been seen before, something that no one had documented, of course, it had to happen to Izzy.Series
