Summary
It's fair to say that it's usually at the most calm, organized times of one's life that the Powers That Be choose to throw a spanner into the works, some little thing to make life interesting, or some big, scary thing to make life difficult. This was definitely the case, as Andrew, waking up one particular Thursday morning, had distinctly thought to himself that his life had never been quite as peaceful and settled as it currently was. Looking back on it, he thinks he probably jinxed himself at that very moment, but at the time it had seemed like a reasonable, safe thought to have.

Summary
"So? What's up?"
"Oh, you know, nothing much," Tucker replies, distracted.
"Nothing much?" Warren replies, rubbing a hand over his eyes, frustration this time. "You call at 5am after, what, eight months, about nothing special." He tries to sound incredulous, surprised, and maybe there's an edge of it in his voice, but really, it can't be a surprise. There's only so many times something can happen and still be a surprise, after all.

Summary
“I just thought since your Bobby taught you, maybe you could teach me,” Chris shrugs.
“Yeah,” Buck breathes. “Yeah, I’d love to do that.”
Chris nods once, happy with the answer. “Can we do mac n cheese next?”
“Uh uh uh!” Buck tuts. “There’s a system. We start with breakfast.”Or, Buck passes Bobby's recipes down to Chris and finds a whole lot of other things in the process.

Summary
“Tell me — tell me everything. Did you yell at your parents yet? Is El Paso just like you remembered it? Did you hug Chris?”
Eddie takes a measured sip of tea. “Not yet, kind of but not really, and yes.”
Buck hums. Eddie imagines him sitting at his kitchen island or sprawled out on the couch in the loft. Hugging him goodbye two days ago felt so final, but now they’re talking just like they would any other night, never mind the 800 miles between them.
“Does he seem okay?” Buck asks. “Did he storm off?”
Yeah, this is normal. Buck asking the important questions, acting as a sounding board for Eddie, being a Christopher Diaz subject-matter expert. Eddie exhales and smiles a little for the first time since he left his parents’ house.
“He seems like he doesn’t know what to do with me,” he answers honestly. “I think … I think it’s good I came.”—-
